I'm trying to track down a 3 douce intake for my 351 windsor, and also some nice finned aluminum valve covers. Does anybody know who makes them? If anybody? Thanks, Dubbs
SFAIK the only 351W tripower intakes ever made were a few experimental pieces cast by Ford...the 351W came along after the popularity of tripowers was in decline & nostalgia hadn't hit yet. The Carl's intake is essentially a SBF intake with adapters. It might be somewhat cheaper to find a used SBF intake, & use either the Carl's adapters, or the adapters from Price Motorsport http://www.pricemotorsport.com/. Blue Thunder makes the repro SBF tripower which generally runs around $375- $400, new.
Thanks a million guys, if I got an adapter to go from the 351 intake to a 302 intake, I could get any triple douce intake made for the 302 right?
Yeah. I don't know about the Carl's adapters- maybe they have a lot of material & are designed to fit every head, grinding to fit- but, with the Price adapters, there are three different styles to fit particular cylinder heads. As long as you pick the correct adapter, (***uming you have conventional heads), any SBF intake will fit.
Speedway Edelbrock Moon Wild intake from Moon and a nice intake adapter made by Blue Thunder and sold through Moon
Just ran across this post. Is their a 3x2 3 bolt Carb Intake Or adaptor out there for Small Block Ford. Not 4 Bolt Rochester
