Hey, I'm new to HAMB, anyone building cadillacs? I'd love to see some pics! I'm in the begining stages of a 55 Cadillac 62 four door project. I'll get some pics on here hopefully tonight. The floors rusted out really bad. This car sat in a field for years and had house carpet in it. Any sugestions on what gauge metal works best to patch the holes? I also need new window channels for the doors, any ideas? I'm pretty new at working on cars this old so any help would be great. I'm not going for "restoration", just low budget kustom. Thanks, H.A.M.B. rocks.

I used to run around in a black lacquer and white tuck n roll 54 coupe de ville (about 42 years ago) no rust it was only 10 years old and considered a late model custom in 1965 67-69 was the Plum Crazy 57 El Dorado 98 Paso was the Black 53 Coupe De Ville with the 55 El Dorado dual quads and Bat wing air cleaner plus I've had several Cad powered Rods including the 54 GMC in the shop now
only problem with doing a caddy is all the chrome, the good thing is all the handles, locks, emblems and trim you shave off sells for good money on ebay. this was my mild custom 50 a 60 and chop top 80
I am rebuilding my 49 4 door. I have not touched the body yet except to put a set of tires on it. I hope to have it running this weekend and YES, I will video it.
How old is old...??? I happen to know where a '41 Fastback is...and and '58 two door hardtop is...both with parts cars and decent priced...both are local so you'll have to travel a bit... R-
