I think some of you are missing my intent in posting this thread. I have no intent on purchasing any cars or parts from the yard. I thought it would be cool to look around and take some pictures, that's all. Lots of history there.

Thats the way it's going now of days. The Old Guys are dying off and the Iron farm's are drying up.

Auctions, Crushers or Rot where they sit. The old boys that past on. They would have a fit, if all that time and energy, saving all that Gold got Crushed

Now that the widow lives in town (pop.?) might not take long before the low-lifes come on a destruction spree.

Best advice right there. Go talk to her, ask her what car was her favorite (hopefully there is one). And then work into the casual talk about how you'd love to be able to bring life back to a particular car. If she's not willing to sell now, she may just remember you just before dialing up the s**** dealer.

Just saw this. Its my hometown too.
I know this family very well. That widow has sons. And her late husband has brothers. Those brothers had sons who had sons of their own. You dig? There are a lot of people in line ahead of me, and I GUARANTEE you that none of them are s**** dealers.

One of my best friends is an heir to it and in constant agony about not being able to touch it. Story is he had a deal worked out on some stuff with the old man. I'm sure you can guess the direction that went.

Cool place though. There are some seriously scary death cars in the lot. Like blood and bones stuff. Sad stories.

There are some nice cars there. It will probably all rust out before any of it would be put up for sale.

That is just dumb. What is the owner going to do with them. Lots of great cars that can still be saved.

That kaiser would make a cool custom. Of course, the Plym Fury HT is a nice one as well w/ lots of spare parts to put it together. :)

That's why my buddy is in agony and why we shed a tear, as Cornfield said.

Those that feel en***led to them are going to have a big messy tug of war.

How do you think these came about? Old greedy guys who wanted an arm and a leg for something until the day they kill over. If they weren't greedy they'd have cars they were working on and a lot less of them. They aren't worried about saving them, they look for the $$. Those Mopars in the mud to the rockers hurt to see.

I was at that yard in June. Didn't buy a thing I thought his prices were a bit on the high side and there wasn't anything there I felt I needed and couldn't live without. Plus he was rushing me as he wanted to leave to go to BTTF's
