A potential huge find here in Michigan

I got a call last night from my dad and one of his employees has been put in charge of cleaning out some old car collectors garage. It seems this guy sold off his collection while he was still alive to pay for his ***isted livng bills (it ****s getting old ) but nobody was aware that he had a 4 car garage filled with stuff still. My dad went there yesterday to check it out and says that it is filled floor to ceiling with stuff, everything from grill shells with the radiators still in them to flatheads, steering wheels and stacks of wire wheels. He said there are at least 4 bodies with frames, none newer than the 30's. My dad isn't great at identifying cars but said there was a pickup body, bed and fenders that looked to be late 20's. All of it still wearing original paint.

Nobody involved in this knows what any of it is worth let alone what it is. I am going either tonight or tomorrow afternoon to dig through it and perhaps strike some deals.

It isn't worth anything. I'll come and get it and give you $5 per ton s****!

I'm waiting for the pictures. I'm tired of hearing about these guys who have to sell off EVERYTHING to cover their health care costs.

I'm close by, have a couple full size pickups, a tow dolly, a car trailer and a 6X11 trailer with sides. I can also bring money. I have 7 shekels, 31 rubles, 47 cents from the Bahamas and an English pound. That should fill a trailer at least, eh?
Seriously, I am close by if you need a hand buying or moving stuff.

Thanks for the offers of help, This guy is also going to need help Identifying what they have and what its worth. I would imagine that there a good opurtunity to work that out in trade. That is of course after I get first dibs

 

This is happening more and more, parts hordes are getting old.
I know of 5 hords of Ford parts within 10 miles from me, the stuff is not as rare as you may think, it is ratholed away.

 

I'll be in the Detroit area on business next week.......I suppose I should bring an extra large suitcase??

It ****s that he had to sell off a bunch of stuff when he got old...but it really proves that you can't take it with you! Just because you have hoards of stuff won't make anyone live forever! So somebody hook a brutha up with a nice 33-34 5 window would ya?!

I've seen hippie6 in action and can attest to the condition of his mind. He drives all over the place for parts that won't work on his car but it RAN at Billetproof...

Anyway, I've got a truck, trailer, blazer, and horse trailer AND a barn!! Count me in to help but funds are limited and mind is weaker...

All you guys have fun at kzoo this weekend .. im gonna stay here and wait for the pics and info on buying all the stuff.. I can keep reloading the page and shop for the parts i need for the roadster on line.
