Ok, the HAMB knows everything. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o> Someone here must know what a 1926 Page car or a 1927 Roosevelt looks like. A friend was reading the cl***ified adds in what he called 'a farm newspaper' while he was getting new tires and found an add for these cars. The price is reasonable but I don't even know what one looks like. It would be a long drive to rural nowhere just to take a look so I would prefer to know if they are potentially cool hot rod material before I go. Anyone got a picture of one of these?<o></o> Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks
Most of the cars from that era had very similar build styles and lines. The Paige-Handley I think had flat-top fenders with a detail around the edge. Gimme a few, I think I have an ad of theirs from the 20's around here....
Both extremely scarce cars I'd think twice about cutting up, then when no one would give me the s**** price for it, build a rod out of them. Tried googling them up?
I did google them, but the word 'page' and 'car' were too general to garner anything, and roosevelt gave me a lot of pictures of the president... in a car.
Back in the 20s and earlier, everyone and their brother were producing cars. There were an estimated 500 brands from 1900-1930
Cool, They definitely have some 'Hot Rod' genes in em. Rustynewyorker made a good point and perhaps I could flip one to restorer to fund a few 'go fast' parts for the other. I'll give the guy a call and see if I can get any more info on the model (4 door, sedan, roadster.... Ummmm Roadster) I'll let you all know Thanks everyone
Look up Graham-Paige... I have a friend with a vintage racer made from a Graham-Paige. His car was built in Argentina and brought to the States. An auction house advertised (and sold it) as a real 'vintage' racer - it's not, it's a recreation and there's a been a big law suit going on for over 3 years over it now.
Page 1906-1907 2cylinder 2 seater air cooled R.I Page 4cylinder 4 seater areo type four by Victor Page Conn. Paige-Detroit 1908-1927 in 1928 became Graham-Paige 1928-1941. The company'sfinal car was 1940 Hollywood like Cord 812 series. After WW2 (which you guys came to late) joined forces with Kaiser and Frazer cars. Made in Detroit.
I've heard of a Graham Paige... This car has been in the family since new... Shot at 2005-05-03 1928-29 Graham Paige, its a boring farmer car

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=353803&d=1189742893 This car is awesome and gets driven all the time, i always see it running around, you need to post some of the speedster pics on here also
Good limo,s for the restorer,s. Maybe worth your time to drag them into town and sell them to a city restorer ( if they,re fairly complete ) who has,nt the time to go out into the great Canadian wilderness with a pickup and trailer.
This is one of the great questions of life, how can someone make enough money to piss away on a turd like that, then turn around and start a law suit based on being stupid? ANYTHING from Argentina is suspect, just like the Nigerian lottery.
