Ok that roadster is nice. Why not keep it and upgrade the body later? Either way I think it just depends on what you want. Satin

Rudy, I'd trade for the Nomad just because they aren't making any more. You can replace the roadster. In fact I know where there is a steel '32 roadster body just sitting waiting for touch. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    I would NOT trade..........

I had a Nomad (1956 red and white)....and they are OK but the times in it could not even come close to the times in the 32 I have now.

But of course you would not expect me to trade........my screen name is not 57Nomad [IMG]

  14. DO IT!!!!!! You have no reason not to. Even if you traded and didnt want to keep the nomad, you could sell it and easily get enough money to buy a finished glass car or whatever you wanted. A tri 5 nomad is a tri 5 nomad....and tri 5 nomads are rare. You cant afford not to in my opinion!

[/ QUOTE ] im building the same thing , but i think your still gonna need a roadster you can drive across country, im gonna have lots of money in the flattie..... too much to wear out....unfortunatly it will just be a stupid, short trip or around town car, but i really wanted a prewar car for some reason so thats what im gettin, its probely as close as ill ever get to a resto type car.... thats a bitchin roadster would be hard to give up choose wisely! good luck

  18. You know...

I've kicked the idea around of selling my 59 impala convertible. I can't. Know why? Cuz I would never ever be able to afford another one. I'd completely regret it and everybody I know and everybody that ever knew me would go "See? I told you so" with the exception of Scott Mugford. The 59 Impala convertible is basically irreplaceable to a guy like me. Not only that, it's become my trademark kinda like Ryan's 38. People see the 59 out in public and they go "Oh there's that deaf guy's car". Went to the last two swap meets with the 40. Half of the people I knew said "Where the hell is the 59? and what are you doing with this?!" So... no. Can't sell it.

Like everybody else here says (with a few exceptions), you can build another roadster. You can't build a 57 Nomad. Plus you say you are almost done getting all the stuff you need to build ANOTHER roadster?!

    Trade.

There it is. The fun is in collecting parts and building it anyway. You've done the roadster. Unless you LOVE it, or have some serious sentimental attachment(i.e. it was your grandpappy's grandpappy's FIBERGLASS roadster) to it, trade the roadster for that Nomad.

You're building another one anyway. If you miss having a roadster THAT much, it will only be motivation to finish the steel one.
