Mallory Model A dizzy info need

    I picked up a 4cyl Mallory dizzy at the swaps and was told it was for a Model A the numbers are YA 11A 41EMX5 it is a single point type dizzy can anyone conferm what I got?

    2nd question is if this is for an A since I didnt get any directions with it how do I install it and what should all the settings be. And what do I do with the armor cable and junk like that. All this is on a 31

    http://www.mafca.com/06TECH.html Use you old hi tension leads to set point gap. Replace armor cable with modern wire. Hook to side of mallory. With ign on points should spark when they open. Drop in at tdc and wherever rotor points that is #1 lead and so on. Pm me for my number if you need more help. JP Oh yeah 11A should fit the bill, I hope you have the right oil pump drive length. I may have both if you need em.

  6. Thanks tierod- GMC BUBBA already contacted me, and as soon as I can, I'll get a rebuild kit :).

    For right now though, I just want to get it back to running order.

    2 part question-

    1) if the condenser rim is cracked, is it junk, or can it still be usable?

    and

    2) How do I test the condenser to see if it's still good?

    I've seen several Mallory #36 condensers with cracks that still functioned properly.
