I found a Chevy fleetline that looks like a '48 for sale pretty darn cheap. Not what I am looking for but it's solid, original. It's a 4 door. Does anyone have any photos of these in different styles? I was thinking of a bomb since it's a 4 door but I don't know... I might leave it bone stock but I kind of like the idea of driving the hell out of it too with v8 power/discs... Any tips/ideas?

I found another fleetline locally as well.. I just cant decide if I want another one..

even if it looks solid check the rockers close.. and feel up on the top of the frame rail for rot..

most of the chevys have rust at the rear fender lip..

if no rust in these areas. .. go for it..

    as for another build idea..

how about finding a junk 46 - 48 chevy sedan delivery and doing a graft?
the 4 door and the delivery should have the same doors..

    disk brake conversions are avail..
and lots of suspension upgrades available.

Buy it and flip it to a lowrider.
They're the only "Car Guys" who actually seem to and may prefer four door "Family Cars".

Channel and put it on a 3/4 ton crew-cab truck frame.

Hey, I have a '48 four door, too. It's not a Fleetline though. It's chopped about 3.25" and hardtopped. That'd be pretty cool with the line of the Fleetline.
