can I add a leaf to my spring pack with a 2" lowering block? I want a tighter suspension and also be just a touch lower. if I can add that leaf, I imagine it should be the same width and raduis and shorter than the shortest existing leaf, yes? or can I find a leaf from, say, a ford ranger and use one of those? or should I just go ahead and do it already?

    thank you.

Where in the pack you add the leaf will determine the spring rate increase. I have put the as the second, last and most everywhere in between. The lower it is in the pack the more the spring must be compressed for it to come into play. Higher will cause ride height increase and maybe choppy ride. Lower will increase load capacity but not effect ride height as much.

You can add them to your hearts content, just make sure both sides are equal. The former owner of one of my trucks put a total of 14 one each side of the rear end. Not much for ride quality, and I broke the frame when I hit a pot hole at 65. I fixed the frame and now run 5 on each side, which is one over stock. I added the longest ones to try to suport the ends of the spring better.
