So back when i was looking for my next project i came across a 30-31 coupester that had been previously had a roof. back in the 50's they cut the roof off and made a canvas top for airodynamical perposes. I ended up buying it because it was a neat old race car body. but as iv been building im sorta getting stumped on where to go interior wise. and how to maybe clean up the top of it to make it look less rugged. Id appreciate some coupe turned roadster photos and suggestions as to what step to take. Haha but please keap in mind this is just a rough mock up build untill i can tear it down and do a real paint job and the fixins!
Heres mine. It was a 29 coupe. The upholstry was done in an overstuffed look. it covered a mul***ude of metal work.
Nice guys so pretty much cap the doors and get the back level for the roadster conversion? those all look great! im gonna go start cutting more.
here is mine. I still think coupes turned roadster look odd because the door tops are so wide compared to a real roadster. I recomend thinning the doors to roadster specs.
"This is one of the few that look good " How dare you Bonesy that looks pretty cool. Brownsmetal what kinda specs do you have for the width?
