2008 tire pressure monitors???

    55chieftain, so how does the average guy that has a flat and puts on the spare reprogram for the differance in pressure?

    You wouldn't. The light will go out after you have your tire repaired or replaced and reinstalled on the vehicle. I'm a Lexus mechanic, and all of our cars plus the toyota's with full size spares have sensors in the spares. Also our lights reset when the tires are reset to proper pressures. There is a recal button under the dash for after rotations or replacement..
