HI, I'm looking to buy two Ti bolts, 3/8"-24X4", ( with 9/16" hex head ). I hate to call suppliers listed on-line for such a trivial order. Anyone have access for them to sell?? Or suggestions of who could supply such a small order??
    Thanks in advance!

Did you check McMaster-Carr online? They sell everything, will do small orders with a credit card, shipped same day.

I checked McMaster Carr and it looks like they only have corse thread in 3/8". Try Vulcanium Corp. in Northbrook IL. They're a distributor.

Not to sound ignorant, but what would one use titanium bolts for? (They're light, right? Are they also strong?)

Stronger than my dogs breath! Seriously, they are usually used when you need high strength to weight ratio. Titanium weighs in like aluminum with the strength and wear of high grade steel.

Be carefull with what grade you are using. Tell the supplier what you are using it for. There are some grades of Ti that are almost as soft as butter. Believe me I made that mistake. I used some on a motorcycle as handelbar pinch bolts. I broke one tightening it up with a regular allen wrench. It was a lower (I think surgical grade) Since that I have used Ti with succuss as axel bolts.I think it's grade 5. Not positive, check with the supplier. They should be able to point youin the right direction.

I don't know how these fit in as a grade, but most all titanium hardware I dealt with in the bicycle industry is made from 6/4.

All the Ti I've gotten has been metric (for roadracing motorcycles).
