I thought about building a model, and THEN I seen these. EarPunch. this is one of the reasons why we wanted to kick this thing back into gear! These guys are inspiring me to get some of my 1:25th done, and some Kool new one's started. Like...
My Daughter Sara's '57 300-C Chrysler with Flaked out roof..
Here's a closer shot of that roof...

I's a little blurry, but you get the idea. The idea for the roof came from the Traditional Kuston side, and to do it I used a spray on glitter that I picked up at Wally Mirth in the wedding department. Who'd a thunk it?!!!
The next one is a project that I 'm workin' on for TRAK (Traditional Rods and Kustoms in Scale) http://trakinscale.proboards105.com/index.cgi
It's a chopped and Faded-fendered '41 Woody. Why? Why NOT! I don't see too many decently chopped Woodies, and I don't remember seein' ANY with fade-fenders. It's kind of a kick I'm on right now.

    with the fender-job...

Don't let these models (or any others) intimidate ya' bubba! If ya' think ya' got a Kool idea, build it and post it here! We want to see it. I for one don't harp on anybodies buildin' skills (You might be better 'n me!), So post what yer' thinkin' man! Thanks for listenin' and lookin'.

I remember the kit. I built one when I was a crumb-snatcher. I think it was called "Vandal" but, hey! That was like 30 years ago! You might have to check out EvilBay. I think that it has been out of production for a few years. Might also be able to pick it up at a collecters site or somethin'. I haven't looked. Doesn't quite fit the "criteria" to be posted here I don't think, but it WAS a cool model. Another thing to think about is to get one of the "New" Deora kits from MPC/ERTL at Wally Mirth or someplace and try buildin' that up like the Vandal. Just a thought. Good luck! If you are a member of DPMCC or MCL on Yahooligan (Yahoo) then post what ya' come up with. I'm a member there and would look forward to seein' somethin' like that come about.

Al! Glad you could make it here buddy! Response to your question from me on more.....HELL YEAH!!!!!! You know I dig yer' builds! For those that don't know, Old-Hermit is a Big-Scale modeler that knows his way around a rod. As is evidenced from the post. Both of these cars are big-scalers. Al, I know you got more. These folks need to see 'em! I was wonderin' when somebody would post some large stuff. Thanks , Al!

Thanks for the welcome Zimm & Tom.
It takes me awhile to get motivated on line.
To much to do in the real world to spend much time sitting in front of a computer.
I'll be back on Sundays for sure.

I have a pile of unbuilt models too. I keep thinking I likely won't get to them until I retire (in 26 years). By then I'll probably be too shaky and blind to build them!

You KNOW it! I just don't know what to build yet. I'm still noodlin' on an idea. Between "The Gathering" and the "Kustom Kruise" and the '50's Truck" thing, I gotta a lot to do, but I'll make sumthin' happen.

That Tommy Ivo kit in the upper right hand corner is a crappy kit, I'll take it off your hands. I'd even spring for the shipping!

Thanks to all the model builders posting their work. Y'all have inspired me to sit down at night and rediscover my favorite childhood hobby.

    Hello People,
Just thought Id put this in here...It used to be an 18th scale Burago model of a Ferrari SWB Berlinetta just rusting away in some fantasy junkyard...something you would never see.

Only the competition models were made of aluminum...the road versions were steel.
