Don't you realize those things will fly open at speed and the wind will **** you out? That's why they call them suicide doors. Don't you know that? Cool!

not trying to be a smart ***, but whats the go with making the doors suicide... does it add any functionality to the ride or its a case of we did it "becuase we could"

It makes it easier to look cool when you get out of your ride, duuuhhh. Nah, just kidding (about the duh part, anyway). Same reason we have to duck when there's a bump in the road because there's 4" of head room missing and the thing rides like the suspension is welded solid...goes with the territory. Welcome to the world of Rods and Kustoms, Psycho!
By the way, very nice. *****en truck as well. [IMG]

  15. They, also, come in handy if your brakes fail.

OldCarPilot there is a tech article in the tech section, the pictures are pretty ****py though, I am not too good at resizing.

As far as why, it just a cool factor, I think, there is no funtionality to it, getting in is somewhat awkward. Other than that, it was more work than I expected, but worth it. Funny thing is some people think these trucks came this way.

Saw your truck up at the Lowels on Parmer and 35 last Saturday. Went in looking for ya but no luck.
Your truck just keeps getting better.

    Two reasons suicide are cool.
    1) Ease of getting in and out. Especially in the rear of moor doors. You are not constantly kicking the door panel.
    2) ladies in skirts don't have the "protection" of the door blocking my view!

The biggest reason I can think of is because they're f*ck'n kool. Why would anyone need a reason anyway? Why ask why try PBR dry.....or something like that. [IMG]

You guys are just pulliln' Psychobilly Boi's leg. We all know that the reason for suicide doors is so that when you're cruisin' the fairgrounds at NSRA events and your A/C quits you can open the door a bit and scoop in some fresh air...
