Two ****ty jobs, one fiance (best thing that ever happened with her anyway), ****loads of cash, m***ive amounts of aluminum and iron, major back surgery, hearing in right ear, dozen broken bones, one finger tip, supposed friends, beer, booze, anything related to household items....

My wife came for dinner one night the first time we really ever got together at my place and was not real impressed with how creative I could be with car parts in the house. Two complete motors in living room, three short blocks in the dining room and 4 blowers and many sets of heads in the kitchen. Stacks of every magazine for racing I had next to chair and in front of the porcelean office chair. She took it all in stride and had some sense of humor about it. But she was/is the one. Because she still said yes after I took her to 6 out of town races, shows, shops and parties so she could see what she exactly had to put up with.

Some easy as I call them HellorEase tips for you, it can be hell or ease your choice.

All you have to do is buy her new **** when you take the "old" stuff. Or just clean up like it never happened. Just be careful and work smart!
Take three towels? Replace with 4.
If you use the tub for parts washing, put old towels down on sides and bottom and clean it.
If you wash parts in the dishwasher, run a empty load to clean it out after. Stess releaving new rods in the oven? No problem run empty for one hour afterwards with a small tin pan of water and baking soda mix.
Clothes? Easy one here kids, get Goop or GoJo creamy NOT pumice ruins pump in machine over time, rub into stains and leave set for an hour at least, wash on hottest setting you can for fabric.

Shop rags and towels all greasy? Bucket of hot water and big handful of hand cleaner soak and agitiate for a day two (I know it gets cold after a while just keep going) then drain out most of offending greasy stew water and just toss rags into washer (yeah that new good one) another handful of goop/gojo with 1/4 cup tide or the like and turn her on hot wash/warm rinse Hot/hot if you have an oldy and heavy agitate and let er rip. Then wipe out washer and run another load of your shop clothes with higher water setting and another handful of cleaner and your pretty good to go. Just wipe out when done to ensure rings are gone and drum is clean. Oh and kids more water does not equal extra clean in a washer enough to cover the load so the items agitate against each other is the goal here.

Got some other good ones maybe for Tech Week.

Sydney huh? Tea? Iced non-sweet LOL. Any tea is fine I guess. Keep the crumpets, I'll have the cookies. And I want Vegamite for my toast not that cheap **** either. I liked the area, hell I loved the whole damn country. Good food, wine, beer, women, music. Great show boys was a great show. If anyone ever gets the chance you have to go to Australia. Just go slow as some of the words will trip you up.

Can we vacation on the gold coast? I would love to get back to Oz again. I have been there 3 times and had a blast every damn day I was there. Now for income and how to get all of my **** from here to there?

Of course maybe I could do a TV show like The Nanny or something to come and help show builders on how to co-exist with the woman or man of the house. It is all in the planning and the details of how you carry out the tasks or plotting stategy.

Todays helpful hint: Make the wife or hubby happy and offer to watch the little one(s) while they get out for a while. At the same time you can get something done in the shop. Even if it just cleaning time. You got something done, spouse was happy and you had some kid time as well.

We used to have two or three little ones in the race shop with us under the age of 3 almost all of the time. We put them in high chairs on wheels (strapped in of course). Took a few of the favorite toys and tied string to them and then to the chair. Taught them to reel in the toys if they fell off. They had a blast and were in the middle of all the action. Rolled em around so they could be next to the work and the people.

Also we put in a suspended crib (like a cage in this case, sounds cruel but was handy as hell and a source of lively conversation at times) right over the tool bench and up next to the ceiling. If the little one was tired or needed a nap, drop the side and toss em in. Raise the gate and you had an instant zoo exhibit.

Tomorrow (or whenever I get the chance), we tackle an overlooked and often underated undersink cleaning product that just might save your ***.

Not exactly the gods of speed, but i sacrificed my cell phone today. Dropped in the bilge of a 34 ft. patrol craft while i was laying on top of the diesel searching for all the parts we dropped. The gods of speed? Like others the standard rear ends, trans and the like, plus a CA. drivers license for 2 months and probably almost 1500 bucks in tickets (the 5 empty early on a monday morning headed north is hard to resist) All before i turned 18. Now im stationed in VA. with nothing to break.

Girls girls...Hmm an hour north of the Gold Coast.....That is getting closer to my favorite restaurant too in Brisbane. Breakfast Creek Steak House.

Now I ain't swimming that far I could go a few miles but jesus.

Hey how did you know I had a face for radio? Damn computers.

Here is your HellorEase tip for the day.

So genius you put some greasy fingerprints on the freshly painted wall or on your wifes/husbands new curtains?

    Dishwasher powder detergent. Secret weapon!

Take a small amount (tea s**** or so) to keep in the mood of the Aussies here. Mix in 2 cups HOT water stir and then stir some more. Not all of it will disolve your using the water anyway.

(Remember to let cool if using on colored fabrics there brainiac they run in hot water and test in a non seen area to ensure it won't run the color if fabric is either cheap or loaded with dye).

Rub the liquid on the area you mucked up gently it should at a minimum disapate the smudges. Blot dry with white or like colored towels.

Works on walls around light switches, cleans showers like new after you degrease that block in there, Tub rings.....JUST MAKE SURE YOU TEST FIRST!

This is really some cool and very powerful stuff if you mix it strong to the gallon you can degrease a grungy block and heads with a pressure washer with a downstream detergent injectior. Also good a gentler cleaner for wire wheels with tire mounted that won't fit in the dishwasher anymore.

I race Stock Cars so pretty much every part on the car has been broke at some point or another. And a Ton of green backs. I thought Muscle cars were to expensive so I traded for a race car, What the hell did I get myself into.

WOW! Thats bad. But, on the bright side your fingernail clippers will last 10% longer!

I sacrificed an early shovelhead rear cylinder connecting rod and a set of cases.

I sacrificed my kitchen stove for about 10 years. My first house had 100 amp electrical service. The brick 2 story garage (I bought the garage and the house came free) was never wired. Electricity to the garage or an electric range in the kitchen???? To me it was a no brainer...I lived a block away from a 7-11.:D

Did I mention that I was single?
