Chevy! should be fun, the body is damn nice except for the shitty crooked chop job, luckily its all just tack welded in place, all the wood is gonna need a replace to but i think itll be worth it, i wont work on this one for a while but ill put it away into stock! jeff
damn all you people picking up cool chevys........ cool find 3 windows are cool....keep us posted as the progress starts
Very nice score. Great find, please don't bury it to deep in the to do pile. It's about time to start the Bowtie Deuce Club. By raising the awareness of our HAMB family, pehaps someday, the barn find can be the 32 Chevy Holy Grail. The lost Dickie Flippens Coupe.
Cool looking car man!!! I dream of having a 30`s car someday. I`m takein baby steps by collecting parts to build a ford. the chevy`s are just as cool.
well Larry, im already in the deuce club with my 5 window and my tudor so im ok with that. yeah it has alot of wood in it, im not sure of my plan of attack, i need to do the a pillars, the b pillars are very nice, and all above the doors are good, the doors may or may not need it yet but in the end im sure ill do it all! jeff
Nice. They had a good tech article on chopping these chevy's loaded with wooden support in a recent street rodder.
Dreaming, wishing...... Ok to the one in power . Titus has got another good piece of old iron. He needs to sell one because he is running out of room in the garages. Please have him call me because he knows I am dying to own some cool vintage MN tin too. And by the way make it a super duper deal for me not to pass up or put a shit load of money in my back account. Thats all i ask for from who ever is incharge. Well anyway ya got another cool piece Jeff.
Its i sickness, i just cant help myself, if i see something i like and the moneys in the bank account, its all over, im gonna get myself in trouble one of these time, i know it, but cars are a good bank account, i have no savings, just my cars. i never buy anything without having a use, its just that i may not use it right away. Im not sure what course this old coupe will take, im still running through ideas in my head, i just dont know, itll have 49-54 chevy 15" wheels and hubcaps, a rake, but im not sure on the mill yet, i have some crazy ideas in my head and i have a FE ford 6x2 intake, but i dont know if i could do it i was thinking of putting a nailhead in it and kinda building it to match my 32 ford fiver, but i dont know if i want to do that either, its all up in the air but hopefully what ever happens itll be badass. jeff
true true heck you can do anything, you don't have any fear. lol I thought maybe you would consider a 348/409, blower with 6 carbs for the new 32. Well whatever ya decide it will be bitchin, that is for sure!
i'm like you goin and bein near my car collection is way more inspiring than staring at my checkbook...... dreams ar forever ps put a flathead in it and larry might not notice
A 348 of 409 would be cool but i think it would cliche, i dont know, i just want to do something a bit different in the engine compartment, i was also thinking of a 5 carbed 235 or a jimmy six, but well see. jeff
Old Oldsmoblie power would be cool and still keeping it in the family, traditional and GM to boot. Looks like a cool future project.
I saw the car in St Peter, it's an amazing piece. But now John will have to find one so he can keep up!! I'm glad to see you got the car. I like the Jimmy thing.
is that body in as good of shape as it looks in the pics? damn you always have the coolest projects. jeff
