Thanks Fur Biscuit.... Thanks Terry.... I had the initial idea that I wanted to trim my project out with various B 17 stylings. I love 17's. Then I felt that the world was getting a little too "themed out". I even have old aircraft gauges I didn't use. I was going to paint the engine fan tips yellow and a bunch of other stuff. Then I relented and decided I didn't need all of that. It seems that to be different these days, simple and straight forward is not the norm. I managed to even build my car without a single Maltese Cross, spider web or skull anything anywhere. Do what you want with your car, I did with mine. Not being one to AAAoooooGA my own horn, (I'll stick my neck out here) but there's a layout in the new CK DeLuxe with more pics and specs. Z
i didnt mean to offend you by telling you that planes made back in the thirties werent the best quality equipment this country has ever seen...
Anybody know where to get "military style" stencils? ..or something close? I've been trying to find 1" or 1 1/2" or so, and can't seem to come up with anything.... And I'm not sure I'm good enough to hand letter it. ha ha Thanks, Kamp
You can find olive drab paint most likely at your local surplus/sporting goods store.....hunters use it alot. And it'll be WAY cheaper too..... I get it in quarts for $11...thins with mineral spirits....
Don´t know if it´s only US Army ww2 style here but that´s an old pic of my 31. Decided to paint the coupe in Wehrmacht PANZERGREY ! yeah, I know the iron cross but I was young..... sorry for the bad quality of the pic.
I thought about painting my suburban back to it's original glory. It was bought new by the US Army and served as an ambulance, but I don't want it to look gimmicky even though it's the real deal....
