When you have a satin paint job, flattened clear coat, can you buff the paint to remove any dirt or scratches? I heard it would make the paint glossy? I want to paint my car in satin but I am looking for a show quality paint with no defect in it. Thank you very much.

alecigeo...no buffing. What you spray is what you get!

But....I get pretty good results in very poor conditions. I have yet to run the flat clear and I don't think orange peel is a factor. I could be wrong on the orange peel part. I've had great succes with the flat clear flowing out nice.

Here's what it looks like now. I use Meguiers,Quick Detailer,to keep it shiney.

WE just sprayed our shop truck with SEMS Hot Rod Black after trying everthing else and I have to say it is the best paint we have used yet no stripes, splotches or shiney dull spots. just an even semi flat black with little effort too lay it out . sold in qt cans comes with the catalyst I dont know if it comes in different colors or not but worth a try.Im painting my house with it next week.
