    Hey guys,

Im closing a deal on a totally complete really nice 36 Ford pickup. Needs complete restoration. I want to make a hotrod out of it without loosing much, if none, of it's original beauty.Maybe just a chop.
Im looking for some inspiration :

If possible, no "Bobbers" please, just rodded, mild custom, original proportions trucks.

    Thanks
    Diego

Thats pure beauty Jim....., thats what I meant.
Honestly....., isnt this example much better, elegant and still a kickass rod than a "bobber" ?
BTW: Anyone can tell why those style "trucks" are called like that ?

I would love to see what these pickups look like withought being your run-of-the-mill 'bobber'

arent stripped dpwn, bare bones bikes called bobbers? maybe they just called stripped down pickups that as well

Saw that truck parked at a tattoo shop in Lancaster, CA not too long ago. Really good looking truck, sits just right, and that grille really makes it.

The truck is owned by John Robinson of Long Beach, CA. Full build info on the last pages of the #37 issue of The Rodders Journal.

    Cheers, Mark

Ya.....the green truck should look right......that's Fat Jack Robinson's kid. Good hot rod upbringing!.

Anyone know if the dims on a 1 ton cab & fenders are different that a 1/2 ton models......1934-36 aside from the running board lenght.....

As seen at Billetproof several times, this is one sweet 37. Here's a picture from today's Revolution II:

it went a more radical route than you are planning. see the avitar picture? here are shots during the chop and the shortening of the bed. front axle is "spring over axle" not the stock "spring forward". rear axle was also relocated forward and the chassis was bobbed.

Kind of Bobber but really well done, I really like it.
Man that thing is channeled...., look at those horns at the front :)

    Thanks George
