I'll be linin up against Eric at least once.. he's gonna follow me down the track.. AND HOME.. hey Mazdaslam I will be selling my stuff at 1/2 off the regular low prices, that should put me ahead of you by two lengths..
hey zach i will tow you up with the f-100 just so you could say you have been more than an hour away from your nest.
My cars would both make it there no problem its only 58 miles. thats what....30 minutes in a model-B?? honestly im just not really interested in drag racing that much I like sliding around corners
From another post...just strikes me kind of funny "Photo taken by myself of SuhrSC aka Zach traveling around the track at Latimore Valley Fair grounds, near Dillsburg, PA... Static pictures are cool but these cars are meant to be driven!!! Lets see some more action shots this year __________________ Andy"
Well when you get to the end of the track they'll let you turn left. Its up to you if your sliding or not.
I was thinking about staying home to mow the lawn and store some lawn furniture for the winter, then maybe doing some laundry afterwards.......just kiddin! Beaver Bob and I are really looking forward to hosting the Jalopy Showdown Drags next weekend. We have our fingers crossed that we will have stellar weather like this past weekend. Naturally I will have the "Wayback machine" at the event. She is 29 roadster with a sbc v-8 which turned 11:04 @63MPH in the 1/8th at the Nostalgia Nationals. My 29 roadster needs a front end alignment and windshield, so that speed seemed like she was flying. When I got off the gas, the car darted to the center of the track and I was holding on for dear life. Now I know what she runs and thats all I wanted was a vague idea. Someday soon, I hope to find time to tear her apart and get her road worthy. Dont forget to clear out your garages and bring stuff to sell. We hadn't pushed the swap meet side of the event much, but hope to push that side of things more for next year since we have tons of room for swappers and shoppers. I was hoping a few A bodies might show that I would have to convince Beaver to give me an advance on my weekends wages to buy. I would like to acquire a pair of roadster quarters in the near future to go with a cowl I laying around. So bring your stuff to sell and bring your stuff to just camp on the grounds because it will be a great time during the day and when the races are over and we are just cruising the strip afterwards. If your bringing a 40 ford, please offer me a ride since I have one, but have never ridin in one. Mines just a fantasy ride at this point. See ya Saturday, if not sooner and if you need announcements made, just pop up in the tower and ask. Flashback Bill BSD announcer & flag starter
Injector Tim....I see a really cool race between you and Don!! 999 will get trailered there. I'm expecting to blow the rear out of it. We'll have keys just incase we spin them. Of co**** bust my balls a little and I'll be infront of your house with it ready to follow you North... Larry..you think Mikey staged that whole accident just to get out of racing us???? :O Is Tommy still gonna do some flagging? Clark
"We hadn't pushed the swap meet side of the event much"....ahhhh, I have! The swap meet is shaping up fairly well so far by the calls and emails I've gotten from vendors. The weather is looking good so far too.
Ya I got all my **** piled in the wagon to sell so stop by and rip me off. It will be my first time swap meet selling.
well...I really don't know! The car has been being built, and changed from the previous owners early attempts at building, since last summer...I am still tuning, and the shot at the track is from its maiden voyage down the 1320. It looks like its second trip down will be occuring at The Beaver! so far, with an off-idle launch, and only the center carb working( the end ones were not adding fuel, to my surprise, only leaning it out, and preventing any rpm above 4000...as well as a linkage problem I have now sorted out...) the car managed a 1.88 60 ft. & 8.85 in the eighth, with me dumping just befor the marker... still a lot of tuning to get the untapped potential...but: Screw it!!! I'm gonna run whatever it runs this weekend!
Awesome. Where in Jersey are you? Oh yeah... did you try the Old Days drags at Island dragway outside Hackettstown???
I'm down in delightful, not-completely-ruined-by-New-York-yet South Jersey...Pittsgrove, to be exact... where are You?
nah...I have been to busy attempting to get this thing working right to go anywhere! while others have been playing...I've been working! watching the season p*** by...but, I'm gonna give it a shot, now...I think its ready. If not...well...there's always beer.
I live up in Sus*** county. The town of Franklin to be exact. There are large parts of Sus*** that have not been ruined by urban sprawl .... yet. On other hand you can drive a half an hour and have everything you want. Its cool. I really love your car and I totally understand the work before play mentality. I actually have a 30-31 coupe of my own that its getting near drivable. Unfortunately it's down at my parents house in Pa so I can only work on it when I'm down there on weekends. My wife and I expect to buy a house before the spring though, so that means the hot rod will be joining me soon!
My brother an I are still selling those NOS parts and goodies from the Speed Shop inventory we bought this spring. Trans adapters, flywheels, Stromberg Jets, Decals and other stuff you need for your ride! See ya there Jay

Good Luck since he doesn't drink, I'll take a couple runs at it and see if I can't dent the floorboards.
