Friendly people, real hot rods, just a great time! Can't wait till next year. Friendly people (priceless) Real hot rods (priceless) 2 cheeseburgers and a Coke ($16.00) (I thought I was at Fenway Park)
I hear you, but it was a big-a** burger, plus no spectator charge, PLUS anything to support a traditional meet is money well spent??
Jim, email me the ones you want posted and I'll size them and throw them up here. Good seeing you yestrday and thanks for THE beer. Exactly
what? no spectator charge? someone must have been asleep at the entrance. probably me! all the other spectators that paid 10 bucks are going to be gunning for me now. ;-) not sure waht was up with the price of the burgers, that's out of our hands. they are damn good burgers though. thanks everyone for coming out, and posting so many great photos. looking forward ot next year! i'll have more photos to post soon...now back to my hangover...
Thanks, That is my green roadster pick-up. I am just finishing up on the build now, and have taking it to a few events. Thanks again I appreciate the compliments it means a lot. Here is the link to my build post. More cars will be coming! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=2245856[/URL]
Hi, I am the owner of the lil' green roadster pick-up. The car was a build at my shop Millworks Hotrod that is nearing completion now. That was a good time at the show yesterday, thanks for taking the pics.
As I said in the original show post-I missed the show due to the death of my Father in law .I was hoping someone could burn me a CD.I usually take a ton of pics at shows. This is one of my top four must do shows and I hated to miss it.
Thanks to the Alter Boys for a great time! The weather was perfect this year. I thought having the bands outside was a great idea. I got there a little late because my brother and I are building a garage at my house. So I didn't take alot of pics, but I'll post them anyways. Stopped at an old gas station on the way there. cball's Great little rpu Dr. Ray's fuelly gasser I loved this sports car. All Ford running gear, tube frame with an aluminum body and Myke's killer bike
You even took a picture of Uncle Roy Idmans roadster,me and my old man went to the show with him,and you know,Roy still drove by the place.
I forgot!! Did anyone get a picture of that coupe that blew the upper radiator hose off???( its a flattie with no fan!!) That was the highlight of My day!!lol Luckily no one was hurt. And Pete how about a parking lot with a little better traction next year, i had a hard time getting out!!lol JimV
No question the alterboys show is one of my favorite shows of the year. Its the perfect time of the year and the weather is just right! Some real nice quality cars there and I was lucky to have made it this year...a little late, but still made it....The 55 with the metal flake interior and that 62 vette were SWEET! I'm definetally planning on going to the so cal show.... It'd be nice to see a lot of hambers go...... the owners are real nice guys and real car guys and I have no problem supporting another trad hot rod event for people that speak my language. They have a nice lot there too for plenty of paved parking!
Oct.6th, 9-3 exit for rt 16 off of 146. Sorry to hear baout your father in law, we where just talking about him at the drags.Sad JimV
Good to see you JimV! Great show - first time I've made it out, but it won't be the last. Maybe some day I'll have something to put in the show. My '54 made it out and back with no problems at all. 4 1/2 hours each way (took Rt. 9 out and Rt. 20 home) but only 20 gallons of gas, so I'm not complaining. Great show and thanks for the pics! I'll try and get some of mine up, soon. Later, Jay
There was only a few now that i think of it.When Keiths cars there it draws all the attention!! It is such a sweet ride!Once he puts in the "remote lift" deck lid it'll be perfect! That way you can get to the beers without breakin a sweat!!!lol What a ride!I don't think he has rear tires on it!! can't see em.Must use air like a hovercraft!lololololol JimV
hahaha..."remote lift" deck lid...I've already got one, it's called a JimV. I don't want to make it too easy for you bud!!
any more info about the show? the altar boys show looked like a great time, i hope by next year i can tag along with some of you guys in either my 55 or the roadster pickup i'm gonna start building soon.
