I personally think it doesn't look right, but if you like it, do it.

Ahhh - I barely got started ... I forgot the grille guard made from old bumper ends, air horns, 3 antennas, 2 Unity spotlights, & the baby bonnet sun visor.
All kidding aside, my guess is you see few of the '53-'56s with "accessory" stuff because they look so good just cleaned up a bit. The right combo of stock parts from the right years on one truck is timeless.

Rather have a sister in a whore house than skirts on a pickup.

    I have been building my 54 F100 into a late 50's custom.
I have been thinking of adding the Briz ribbed bumpers with the rear frnder skirts.
The decision will not be made till I get the body, box and fenders on and build the rear roll pan.
There will be 2 - 3" echo cans coming through the rear roll pan and from there I will work with the bumpers.

remember it is your truck built it for yourself not to please others or you will never be happy with it, unless you are a trophy hound.

OK let me be the guy that says go for it...if it is Veeery low in he rear. I had them on my old Batfink truck...actually I had 48 ford sirts on it. it was gold with pearl wite T+R running bords and had a ton of body mods...and I really liked it ...until I lost a skirt near Salt lake city....damn road construction!! Anyway ...if its a custom...hell ya. If it's a hot rod...hell no!

    Two words: Super-queer!

Seems like the 53-56 F100s are the most widely abused vehicle there is as far as owner's personal styling goes. Whether its the white-trash Harley dude or worse yet the frickin' gold-chainer hot-rod truck assholes, almost no one has a clue in the world on how to do these trucks justice. Guys flying fender skirts are no exception.

  11. I think fender skirts on a F-100 is like puting a dress on a pig,,it ain't natural. HRP

I've seen a handful that look right. If your truck pulls it off it will be fine. It depends on the rest of the truck.

Yea I guess these all look like ass.....damn there's a bunch of narrow minded people on here! Open your minds to the fact that not everything is going to fit your opinion of cool....but works just fine for others.

Is that that batfink truck? I saw it in Paso years ago...
that one does look pretty cool, but I think you would have to go full-custom to pull it off like someone said.
