a pickup was going to turn in to our place and the driver did not see a semi coming his way.

when the truck hit the pickup it blew out his tires and broke the steering box.
so the driver had no control and he went right into our warehouse.

worst part of the whole deal was a 2-3 year old was in the pick up right were the truck hit. i do not know how he is doing but he was flown to amarillo not to long after the mishap.

so if you have parts ordered or were going to call me it will be a messed up few days for us and a while before we get back to normal.

    thanks, bob

Holy crap. Hope everyone ends up healthy after that one. The parts and vehicles are not important in this case. Glad no one was standing in the building.

  8. Apart from that how did your day go?

kerry--- the truck driver was totaly cleared.

redlinetoys--there was a guy back in that very area about 15 minutes before the crash. so it was close!

40 stude--- it sound like a regular truck tire blowout, then the whole building started rumbling.

I pray for the lttle fella. WTF do you mean " Will the truck drivers insurance cover the damage"? Of course it will. The federal minimum insurance is $1M. And they, in turn, WILL RECOVER from the pick-up driver who turned in front of him and caused the "accident". I've been an OTR trucker for over 30 years ,and will never understand how someone "doesn't see" an object 65 feet long , 13 feet high , and 10 feet wide. And who will pay for this? A small child and an innocent business . People, get your heads outta your asses and LOOK.........Ole Pork

Wow, thats a bad one! Hope the child pulls thru. Glad none of you guys were injured in the warehouse. Sounds like the PU was at fault. Hope he has more than a minimum liability limits insurance policy, Texas lame law requiring only $15,000 property damage liability insurance is changing but anything less than several hundred thousand wouldn't be enough in this accident.

  20. I too am thinking of the little one, Kids that young are surprisingly resilient, let's hope that's the case this time!

Prayers for the little boy..... 2-3 years old..... He was airlifted to Childress.
    Bad shape.
Very bad wreck.... such a violent collision, the tailgate of the pick up was embedded into the front wall of Owens.....missing the big plate window.
All at the shop are fine.

Hope the little guy is allright. From the looks of the pictures its amazing that anyone involved came out OK. Good to hear no one was in that part of the building at that time.

60 MPH don't seem like much, but with a couple of tons behind you on a trailer, it will ruin your day. Looks like Okie plates on the killed pickup.

Hopefully they will check if he was on the cell phone when he decided to tango with the other lane.

That's a bad wreck... I saw the tailgate of the PU in the back window.... Brutal...anybody who survives that one is lucky.
I drive for a living, and I see alot of drivers out there these days not really paying attention...just like this one wasn't.
Best wishes & luck to the little one.
