28-29 grill shell mounting

    what do the original support rods that run from the firewall to the front of the car attach to, the rad? Anyone got pics of how they mounted their rad shell? I'm going hoodless.....Toqwik

    the original rods go from small brackets on the firewall to a large bracket on the top rear part of the radiator, this has slotted holes for the rods to drop into, don't have a pic, but someone else will. the radiator also has side brackets for the rad. shell to mount to.

    Another angle.....doesn't look too hard to make ...you could have a rad shop solder it on to a radiator....

    Here is how I did it. Rods to bracket on back top of radiator. I used a modified ,37 ford bracket because it was
    long enough to stand clear of the filler neck. Then the shell
    bolts to small brackets welded onto the side straps of the radiator.
    Hope this helps.
