so you boy and girls are a little better with this that i am. i'm a chevy guy. my budy just got this 1956 chrysler imperial 300 with a 354 firepower in her. i can't find the vin tag and ID plate. were is it on these. i didn't see it on the firewall. its all there. i have to pull the starter get it rebiult and see if she will fire. any info on thease cars? rare ? i kinda dig her. she has grown on me. let me know if you know any thing about this thanks guys Erik
Wow! It's not a letter car (is it?). No expert, but I think it would have dual-quads if it was. Sure looks like a good find (read: collectable) but how is it for rust etc? Be prepared for lots of: "It's junk, I'll take it off your hands" comments.
It's an Imperial..........NOT A CHRYSLER 300....and will only have a single 4 barrel. Not a factory hot rod, just cushy and expensive when new.
He's exactly right - this is an Imperial . . . not a 300. Hopefully he didn't pay "300 prices" for an Imperial (though it is still a cool car).
Great find, I like the Imperial's gun-sight taillights. I agree with MBL; open the driver's door and look between the hinges for the VIN.
That there is the most desireable Imperial of all. (excluding the custom jobs, like the '56 Imp converts, etc.) Jeez that's beautiful. Want to sell it?
vin tag should be inside drivers door jam. It should be a round metal tab w/ #'s stamped on it. KNUX!
well thats what i thought. vin was in the door jam. yes its a single 4 car. not a 300. ok i dono. its not mine. i'm just the one thats going to make her run. its all there its a WA car its not realy that rusty that i have seen so far. i all ready tryed to get the motor lol but its all to compleat to part it out. it might go to my budy's brother. Art wipple. ya Wipple super chargers. if not it Will go up on here first. the only reason it hasent yet was i have not had the time to get it running. i have no idea as for how much. or what there even worth. its hard to get a real answer with out. the well i'll give ya this much. thanks guys you allwas have the info i need. If you don't mind, tell your budy I have one ( '56 Imperial 2 dr. Hardtop that I am selling, whole ( without engine ), or parts. I'm about 2 hours north of you, in case he needs something. Thanks, Mark.
