was wondering if there is anyone who knows about all the car shows that go on in or within 2-3 hours driving distance from sioux falls, south dakota. i know of a few but cant seem to find any information on the ones i know exist... for example this year i was told that the canton car show wasnt going to happen, then i was told they would have the night cruise, but not the car show but i drove out there the weekend that it was last year and there wasnt anything to be seen, any of you guys that live in southeast south dakota should know what the canton car show is.. it's actually a pretty big event. well anyways, anyone that knows dates on car shows next year in south dakota please post em up PLEASE!!!
There are a few good ones around Lennox has a nice cruise night now ..day or so before 4th of July The outkast show was last weekend in mitchell The Watertown Show is always good, that was 2 weeks ago Canton turned to poo cause the city could not contain the idiots
I think you can stick a fork in the cruise My brother went last year and he said it was sad Here is what I do .. buy a 2008 calender ..write on it the events you hear about within say 250 miles Even if you don't plan to attend , you would be suprised how fast some dates start to fill in .. Plan ahead for swap meets, local shows,,etc Then you will atleast have a date to plan around if you happen to be going to like .. Luverne ..Oh, yah there is a show there this weekend Works good ..Here we have lots early / lots late middle of summer due to heat is quiet But, to go to decent show ..You will have to travel www.lonestarroundup.com is WELL worth your time/vacation
in july my club helps promote "the hotrod drags" here in fargo nd. its just over 3 hrs and theres always back to the 50's in st paul in june

Deadwood is gay, HAMBDrags is the same weekend anyway. We do a Vagabonds Hotrod/harley BBQ during the Rally. It is alwayls posted here and on the Jockey Journal.
Did i mention DEADWOOD IS GAY? Typically is has been a reason for the town to get Boomers on main Street to listen to Hermans Hermits and ****. My folks fall in that Demographic..................this year they didnt even dig most of the music........****py 70s/80s stuff that couldnt get a date for the Rally. Deadwood is a scheme to get folks to GAMBLE. They dont care about cars, just bodies. Drive to the HAMB Drags instead. Curious Scotch, it sounds like you came to the Hills, but no trip to Mokan? 10 vs. 12 hours..............you can do it man.

If I'm going to the strip, I'm racing. My stuff hasn't been on the road in 2 years...until now. So, with a whole 'nother year to fine-tune the bugs out, odds are strong I'll be hauling *** in the wagon to Mokan next year. I've been driving it a bit...finding the stuff to fix and fixing it. If the preliminary drives are any indication, odds are strong it'll run really well. I've really wanted to be at the HAMB drags since I first heard about it, but I really want to be able to drive something I built...in the spirit of all that is cool here, y'know? Sorry...I'm rambling. But, you struck a nerve here in a good way. ~Scotch~
