Got a chance to get a 4 deuce stagger intake for a small block chevy but don't know what they would be worth. anyone seen any lately
According to my 1965 1/2 catalog they were worth $92.50 back then, same as the 3x2, and the 2x4. It was listed as Model No.WC4D Part No.7253. I guess Holley don't make them anymore so they may be a rare item. With it you would be going one better than the 3x2 crowd!
well I tried to buy one a while back, but it turned out to be a scam so the price was probably too good to be true. I think it was $450 with crusty carbs
Intake by itself in should be in the $250-$400 range depending on condition. No one makes a staggered 4 deuce for an SBC anymore, so they are bringing pretty good money. If it has 4 good rebuildable Stromberg 97s and linkage, then $1000 or so seems to be the norm right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=160159382480&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006 Linkage for these intakes is somewhat complicated....you have to have extensions for the throttle shafts.
are the repro eelco 4 carbs staggered? i don't know how much they get for those, but it's gotta be less than $400.
$1000 Includes: Weiand WC4D Four Holley 94's Deluxe Rebuild Kits New Internals I.E. Floats, Pins, Etc...for Progressive Setup Four Air Scoop Cleaners Foam Element Air Filters MQQNEYES Four Port Fuel Block Holley FPR Fuel Pressure Gauge Progressive Linkage Carb Risers ETC.... There's a ton of stuff that goes along with it. It's a complete deal. There's a minor crack in the manifold but it just needs to be tig'd and its fine. It's not in the way of any of the runners. My uneducated guess is thats its worth what you're prepared to pay. In saying that, is it what you really want, or is it something that came along, making you think ..... HhMmm??? If its what you really want and hve been looking for a while, well its not a bad price, seeing as though everything is there. If it has just come along, then weigh up your other induction choices, add a little "pose-factor", check out the historical cost of the components, factored to todays prices, and then make the decision. If you have to sell suff to buy it, then consider the cost of what this stuff cost you, what it to brings on the market, and facotr in the emotional component of selling it. Thats what I do when I have to sell stuff to buy what I want/"need". Does all that make me seem older than I am? now if I was building a SBC - then I'd have to buy it
i watched one go for 500 with 94's and some goofy looking skull air cleaners. the 1000 for one with crusty 97's. i was looking for one mr my 29. went with 6x2 weiand drag star. can't ever find just a damn intake any more. every one wants to sell you there just crudy carbs too.
