Oh, sure! I just get back from Oregon to find I'm missing a cruise in Oregon. DOH! Sorry we didn't hook up Dondanno. I never did get over to the mossy side of the mountain. Too much work on the other side.
KID lol, uh no. Ya Rocky next time. I was at the track helping blow our FED up. You are gonna come back again sometime right?...Danny
Danny, The weather should change from 85 degrees and sunny to 50 degrees and raining by then! I sure hope I have my pickup rewired in time to make it. What is the address for us folks that live accross the DMZ in Washington?
Link to time and location, Portland Trans Open House..http://www.northwestclassicautomall.com/events.ihtml?step=2&eid=1132 Afterwards don't forget to cruise over to "PAPA'S Toy's" Open House of his car collection for Dormbecher Children's Hospital Portland Oregon. Info and pictures..http://www.stewartstilestruckline.com/page15.html These two events make for a wonderful day of old cars and Toy's, rain or shine, Be There. H
that was a good one that included a free car wash, there were a lot of empty spaces when the rain stopped. . the parking lot a "Papa's Toy's" was almost as good. I do the glass work for the Davis Collection (Papa's Toy's) I am in there working several times a year. its always better on the one open house day when everything is uncovered. I would love to own that 36 Ford 5 window with 383 original miles. the paint, pin stripes, interior are all original except the front seat bottom where a rat nested
I did alot on this chopped 58 Impala including CUTTING DOWN THE REAR WINDOW TO FIT. the car has been around for years but looked bad around the windows
now all these cars are driven constantly, they quit the car show thing and just do cruises. they probably buy 10-15 cars a year. They do build some cars but found its a lot less headaches and much cheaper to buy finished cars. This 37 panel was built to be driven and ended up costing nearly $200,000 even if they can afford it (they can) they find no joy in spending that much on a car.
I sure wish I could have went; my buddy said it was a great gathering & quite wet. T-ball rules my Saturdays this time of year.
I don't know if you will be able to read the registered owner, but I think it might have been abused when it was new
I really am late for work, but this 58 abortion (Impala) El camino should be allowed to live only as a reminder how good the drugs were in the 70's
