Brake bleed help

    just bled the brakes on the buick 53. everything thing went good and now I get in it 3 days later and the pedal goes down half way then it seems normal.What gives?wheel cylinders new,lines new rubber new,single resevoir master cylinder rrebuilt and held fine.I dont get it.
    Any suggestions

    there's a leak somewhere, it may be internal at the master cylinder.Otherwise you should see it somewhere.That or the bleeding wasn't done properly to where air is still in the lines and moved to cause a bad pedal.

    i'd say you need to re-adjust your brakes. when you bleed your brakes you were pumping them up, now there no longer pumped up and your getting the real feel of how your brake pedal will be. so set them up again and i bet it's all good.

    When you bleed them, use the RR, LR, RF, LF sequence

    I bled them in sequence and I bleed the master.The old timers were helping and said to adjust the brakes til just touching.I thought it was til you felt resistance.I have been mechanicing for 18 years hope I have'nt been doing it wrong.Cant disrespect the old timers though

    this is how was taught to adjust brakes, jack the wheel up, adjust the brake till you feel them drag just a little, get in and step on the brakes a couple of times to center the shoes, then get out and grab the tire and give it a one handed spin, grab it at 12 and leave go at 6, it should spin about one full turn.
