    Are you!!! Jalopy Drags Saturday!!!!!!

We put Jr's slicks on 999 today and she's ready to race. I like the slicks on it but I don't think they'll do any good at Latimore.

    Car looks Great!
You will need to get some heat in those slicks and they will hook just fine. Without heat they will not bite.Durometer reading cold 65, hot 51. Water box if necessary but don't be afraid to really smoke the **** out of them. Run air pressure around 28 to 35 psi and all will be fine.
Any questions allways feel free to call 503-656-1572

  8. That car is still the best bang-to-buck car around, love it...

And hope those axles/keyways don't leave you stranded:D

    Cheers,

Cody...I'll heat them as much as I can. No line lock and not much power. We just thought the knobbies were all wrong for the drags.

Drewfus thanks!! It may end up costing more after this weekend. But if it breaks what the hell....it didn't cost much in the first place.

We have extra keys just incase.

****box...the 32 roadster bubbletop is next. We also have a 32 roadster of Jr's to finish up.

Does a 2.3 Ford really stand a chance at damaging those axles/keyways?

Here is a shot of the 999 seconds before being filthy. If there was ever a car built for pure enjoyment this is it!

This shot is near perfect, but I was just a split second too fast on the ****on. Or may be clark was a little too slow, yeah thats what it was!!!

    Have fun and be safe!

    29sedan....great shot!!!!!!!!!!

TJM..there's lots of coverage. Check out metalgirls videos. After watching the hotdog race you can click on the others.

We had a great time racing. Larry's 32 and 999 were real close. He would win and I would win. Great racing!

Mikey beat me bad. He had me off the line. I was catching him until I shifted into second and the slipping clutch killed me.

Yeh the clutch was all that we busted and it was going before we even got there. I forgot the clutch was going at Latimore.

Next year we'll have a new clutch and we'll see what that rear can really take.
