These cars were built in the early 90's ..The AWB is a old drag car of unknown heritage ..I'm sure its not the real deal but ..Non the less its neat (I know its not old enough to be here but, bet you don't care;) )

Story of this find is real, real long ..I'm too lazy to type it all up
My goofy friend just stumbled into this deal ..and 8 months later he showed me the cars, only because he needed help moving them

Guy that owned them died, his wife let them sit for 15 years
and now the Nova is going to GOOD GUYS and is for sale
The gasser is not for sale ..My friend owns it

I'll answer questions as they pop up

I'll get more pics of the 56 in a few days ..he might take it to good guys ..Real worried about the Nova so might be more than he can handle to take care of two at once

Did I mention he is a odd ball ?

Is that a real Harrell car or a clone?

You know...guys weren't building AWB clones in the early '90s... Your non-too-bright friend might want to get in contact with some people and do a little research before he lets that thing go.

It WAS a real AWB .. But ..I don't think its "THE" car ..
guy that built it had a bunch of old magazines and I thumbed thru them to compare ..maybe it is but doubt it , it has been changed so much since the 60's it does not really matter IMO

When he told me the asking price, I called bull-stuff but after seeing the car , I thought ..well maybe that is not too high
both of these cars are nice ..They were NOT int his shed when found
poor bastard got sick one day, laid his tools down and went to doctor .. and died in hospital

They laid in his old shop/garage for 10/15 years ..wife never even
    turned the lights on once

They were covered in crud, dirt ..He said it was creepy, like opening a casket when he went in for the 1st time

wow and wow. Hey I wonder if the 'Bill Thomas' that's mentioned on the back of the Nova is the same guy that we have to thank for the 'Cheetah'. ???

it's not the real deal with that back end, that's pure 90's Pro street. It's a really nice tribute car but why the box on the intake? is there a carb underneath? :)

Definatly not Dicky Harrell's AWB Nova, That car still survives.. Make sure his daughter, V Harrell doesnt see that car or she will be complaining , since her dads name is on the car, read about a skirmish she had with a funny car her dad drove..

WOW! one of my buddies in high school had a dick harrell nova. It was like "one of 9" or "one of 11" still known to exist...

Anyways, he busted ass to get it all fixed up and painted. The thing had like 500+ horsepower. It was insane...

Long story short, I guess it was too much car for a 17 year old kid, and he ended up getting into a fender bender on his first time taking it out. I think he ended up selling it shortly thereafter and getting one of those VW safari wagons.

    Bad ass car though.

I think both those cars were an incredible find...
of course you wont post what he paid for them and thats just curriosity on our part....what are they worth? plenty

the period AW cars had leaf sprung rear suspensions and narrower rear tires n wheels...none the less the Nova is an awesome piece and the 56 Chevy is just as nice...

when you get some more pics or download/upload which ever comes first..post them please Big Daddy....:)

I have a few minutes to explain how he got the cars ..

About 4 years ago, a guy contacted him about doing body work and paint on a 68 Camaro ragtop

Well, after giving him the price(cheap) to do it , I told him you will never ever be able to do that car for that small amount

saying the car was a POS is being kind , it should of been scrap
Anyway, after work progressed and the guy kept doing the old
"we might as well do this too"

One day, I said ..how much does he owe you ? ..Ahhh $$$$!

I said man, you better get your dough, I've seen deals like this
guy might die before its done ?

Well, I hope I did not curse the dude but..he got a very rare cancer
    and ...

Klank busted his butt to get the car done for the guy before he left this world , used his money, etc to do it too
Jerry died the day the car was road worthy ..sad deal

    Nice kid

One day, this lady calls,, she says I'm his Mother in law
and I understand WE owe you money ..

Come to my house, my husband died years ago ..His shop is full of parts , cars .. sell what you can to pay off the bill

He opens the shop and it was FULL ..New Vette and Impala stuff
    box, after box ..

But, he never did very good home work ..So, from what I can tell it went cheap

Sold a NEW IN THE BOX RADIO FOR A 62 VETTE ..$300!!
that is just a small expample

he hauled all the stuff out to swap meet, sold some on ebay..etc
for all his trouble, he got the 56

The AWB was going to be stored till ..But now she had a change in heart and says ..sell it !

what is worth ? Hard to price something like that ?
