Whats the difference between the Weiand Drag Star 6X2 and the EDelbrock X-3 6x2 manifolds?

I know the visual differences, but what about performance?

    Any info?

    Thanks a lot!!!

I've heard that the edelbrock is a little kinder on the street due to the longer runners, but I've got no evidence to prove it. They're both kick ass and I'm hoping I find either real soon.

The Drag Star is a "log" type manifold meaning it is actually a 2 piece manifold; a right bank and a left bank. These are bolted to each head and connected by equalizing hoses from side to side. Lots of tuning problems. These manifolds were more plentiful than the Edelbrock you ask about. If the Edelbrock X3 is the one I am thinking you refer to it is a "regular" intake as it is of one piece design. It is of a crossram design with a common plenum and did not see a high production number made. This one runs better on the street just by design. Pretty rare actually. Are you building a hemi?

Also about 2 Grand, Senna was the best.

  7. mine was converted to dual quads, runs so good I'm looking for a 2 duece conterpart for a change. I run 465 cfm carbs on the street and 650's at the strip. pulls strong to 8,000 plus and runs clean at idle.

If it was the one on Ebay I wanted it real bad. But I didn't bid for some reason. I'm glad I didn't drive the price up on ya :) I got a kick ass deal on some chrome valve covers instead.
