hi,i have a 1936 ford coupe with a rebuilt 1937 flathead, i would like to improve looks, performance by puting alloy heads and intake manifold on can you get them 21 stud? also change the exhaust headers to tubular, the car is rhd thou(steering box problem?) , any advice thanks.
You may have to fabricate your own headers from a kit to get them to fit. I've seen aluminum heads for 21 stud engines, but they were Ford originals. Flatman
Got this from http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/engine/hdrp_0511_ford_flathead_engine/flathead_parts.html Don Orosco Monterey, CA 831/649-0220 (days) 831/626-2660 (evenings) Eddie Meyer heads, Ardun and Eddie Meyer intake manifolds
Hey 36coupe , do you have pics of your ride ? If you´re interested in vintage dual or triple carb intakes ask Flatordead here !
Thanks Chris for getting me in this game here. @ 36 coupe, I have a set of 37/38 alu heads here. I'll dig them out tomorrow and post a pic. I think they are marked french MATFORD. I also have an assortment of early 2x2 intakes. I bet your engine is british Ford Pilot. The Lucas distributer of that engine is a good choice with multiple carbs. It's a non vac fully mechanicle advance dizzy. Altough everybody says Lucas is the "king of darkness" this dizzy is a good one.
thanks flatordead, my engine is a 1937,not pilot, how old are your heads what do you want for them? thanks vic.
