Well,.... After not going as fast as we wanted to in August, I decided it best to retire the little pepco blower and undersized carb, and go with something that had a little more Umph. And maybe try our hand at running some methanol with a touch of nitro. Woo hoo. So we spent the last 2 months building a new induction, as well as a new and bigger water tank to keep us from overheating. Logan Davis of Milestone Hot Rods helped out with all the aluminum welding, and Drew Pietsch did the machining and Lucky Burton lent a hand too. Here is the result We fired er up for the first time yesterday, and she sounds much healthier than before. I'm not too fond of all the colorful anodized aluminum stuff, and the intake tube looks like a tuner car, but hey, if it makes the old girl go faster, I can overlook it for now. Check out the awesome water tank my buddy Logan made So wish us luck, and stop by the pits and say hi if your going this week to Bonneville. Is anybody else on here running?
Easy off oven cleaner does a good job of removing anodizing. Hope you hit your mark. Sometimes you have to comprimize when you want to go fast.
Good Luck Bobby. I like the Pretty Colors. Ha Ha Ha Now that it is almost October, the only colors I get to see are John Deere Green and Case/IH red.
Say hi to our teammate Bill in the 7878 Pontiac............. Good luck to the Old Crow crew. . Even with the new "bling" that tank rocks!
Your bound to go faster, you won't be wasting time relaying parts across the country for me. Thanks again for the free ride and give 'em hell on the salt. Frank
