Generally I think I am OK at IDing parts - but what is this for? I am ***uming Ford since it was given to me by a Ford guy but I think it looks like it's for a Chrysler... It's in medicore condition but too cool to throw away.

Does it have an engineering number cast in it? Like C5ZZ-6507-AC, for example.

    Resembles a 65 Malibu/Chevelle console.

If it is indeed Ford, it's '65 or later. Whatever it's for, it's worth something to somebody. Some consoles can bring big money.

It looks like it is for a right hand drive car to me for some reson. Not 67 Galaxie that I've ever seen, but Ford did alot of stuff that still amazes me.

Post up any cast in numbers it may have ... Prolly under side.

I think most guys here can at leat narrow down the MFG by the numbers.

Its familiar looking, but just cant finger it for sure...

3844083 is the only #s or marking I could find.

I think that might be it, though. Thanks!

I don't think it's a Ford part. I've never seen a Ford console with the shift pattern on the console.

Definitely 64-65 Malibu, Chevelle. Not sure about other models. My mom has that one in her 64 Malibu.

Ford part numbers have an alpha-numeric prefix, a dash, the base number, and an alpha-numeric suffix if one is used.

GM, Chrysler and others use numbers without letters, something in one grup sometimes in sub groups of 3-5 digits or more.

It has the fine grooves. Too bad it's in such ****py shape. A friend of mine is moving to FL and have been hot rodding for about 50 years so he gave me some stuff... Nothing spectacular, but a lot of neat early '60s stuff thats too cool to toss out.

My guess is a 64/65 Chevelle... wanna sell it? send me an email with a price, I'm looking for one for my 65 El Camino. larryblanks@hotmail.com

I think the 64 had course and 65 had fine grooves... but not 100% positive.
