    Howdy -

I'm getting into the hot rod arena after several years with 4x4's. I've always been an International Harvester nut and cut my teeth on old Scouts and IH pick ups with a Cutl*** or two in between. My latest acquisition is ***led as a 38 but I think it is actually a 37 C-1 IH pickup.

While it is currently without a frame it should be getting getting a new one soon. I have the front rails welded and the rear is cut out but not finished yet.

I'm collecting engine parts for a 327 with a triple deuce setup and will run a 700R4 to shift gears. It has a dropped tubular front axle and a Granada nine inch rear.

The top was chopped last year by Dusty Harmeier (Dusty Rods, Leonard, TX) and it will be channeled before it is finished.

The idea is to keep it low but very driveable. It has a long way to go but it should be a fun journey.

I look forward to meeting and learning from y'all.

    Shawn

Thanks for the support. The engine is ready now and the ch***is is starting to take shape. If you want to see the progress, I've been posting some pics here:

I'm not crazy about the rear panhard bar. If anyone has cool ideas for it (Watts link, etc.) I'd like to hear them.
