I'm putting my front axle together and was wondering if where the bones mount to the axle if it has bushing's or not in the axle. It's a A model style axle. It seems to me it should have bushings but it also seems as it never had any from the get go..I was thinking if it does not have bushings in it I might open it up a bit to put them in there, or am I just wasting time and money..This maybe a stupid question to some but I like to ask first before I make a move and it be wrong have to turn around and do it again...
no bushings factory.with a wishbone (stock, not split) there is no movement at the perch holes.if you split them or run hairpins,a panhard bar is required and the lateral movement is still negligible, almost null and void.you would certainly never wear out the beam or the perch bolt.youre good to go.
Why do you need bushings if there is no relative motion between the components ? With the right bolts, there is no room for any bushings.
It's gonna be a split bone front end, and wanted to make sure since it is a split style front end that I did'nt need to put bushings in it..Thank's once again thats why I ask first...
