Can any US readers tell us more about the history of the ex-Willys g***er featured in www.drcreview.com this week?

  2. Are you Mike? Sorry I have no info but Mike and a friend stayed a night at my house many years ago and I just wanted to say Hi!

Hi Kiwi Kev, no I'm not Mike, I'm the guy who wrote the feature. I'm just trying to find out more about the car while it was in the US all those years ago. I will mention your message to Mike and no doubt he'll be in touch.

Each to their own, but no kidding, if there was ever a car made to be nose-up, it's a Willy's. ;)

it is, absolutely. not dissing your car, just expressing an opinion. I saw "hot rod" again the other day and it got me longing to see an old willy's g***er.

You can't be that surprised that people here might prefer the car in its "groovy green" days.. ;)

Great looking car Mike! Is your car rhd? or did they flip the photo. :D That must be a lot of work to convert. Anyway, welcome to the HAMB!

hi 327 it was a ground up rebuild so yes i had problems but the rhd steering was fairly easy.all cars in the uk are rhd so there are plenty of donor cars for steering parts.my coupe is a 1938 with 1941 front sheet metal, fire wall and dash .the dash has a central gauge cluster and a glove box door either side so that just stayed the same.m.t
