Be yourself, when you try to be someone you're not in an interview, people can tell. Act natural and be confident, they don't expect you to know everything the job entails, just that you are willing to learn.

Be respectful to the interviewing panel or interviewer, but not a kissa$$. You obviously will be interacting with the public, and showing them you can converse intelligently with them, will show that you won't be scared to deal with the customers.

Be sure to answer the question that is asked, it's easy to get off on a tangent, but if you can stay focused on what they've asked, that will help you a ton. Don't be afraid to tell them a story that may help you answer the question, just make sure it is relevant.

Hope this helps a little, good luck.

Firm hand shake, confidence, smile, look interested, dont act smart act clever and eager. if you act smart you always come off as a ****, clever says you want to be smart and eager shows you youll do anything to get there. be there before the damn thing starts like 15 minutes. research the store, owner, employees, and franchise. ask questions about what the job will entail, not money and hours let them ask you that. yes sir/ma'am, no sir/ma'am. hand shake after, and dress like you have respect for yourself when your a kid you have to show people you have respect for yourself it shows responsibility.

    Remove all "jewellery"
    Get a haircut.
Get washed and shaved (even though you are 16)
Wear deoderant, 'cause you'll start sweating right away.
    Say "Yes, Sir, "
Don't sit down until you're asked.
    Ask your parents for advice.
    Best wishes on your interview

  9. Listening is an aquired skill...employers expect it.
Short direct answers are good .
Do not try to misrepresent who you are.......
    Relax...you'll do fine.

best of luck, chances are the person who you will be talking to is young anyway, if that doesnt work out then look for a job where you can learn about cars, a gas jocky where some old guy will teach you how to change tires, oil and lube, tune ups, your knuckles will be bleeding all the time, your hands will be stained black, you,ll have burn marks all up your arms from welding, and you,ll be able to work on your car all nite if you want to, lol

-After hiring hundreds of employees, I can tell you that all of the above apply. Do your homework about the company... I can also say that generally, I know within a minute or so, if I want to hire the person standing in front of me... Best Buy is about customer service, and sales. They want you to look good, speak well, and be confident-but not ****y... If you can project those last 3 things, within the first 30 seconds...you should be doing fine. But... (and this is a big but...) understand-that if you're in compe***ion with a blonde, built, 20-something female...there might not be a thing you can do... Even if you don't get the job, go on as many interviews as you can. Even if it is a job you really don't want. Interviews build confidence, and you'll learn what to expect when you go in to land that dream job. Best of luck!!

If they don't like being called Sir or Mam they will say so and not hold it against you unless you keep doing it...so don't keep doing it!!

Confident, look them straight in the eyes, answer clearly and concisely. Thank them for their time and consideration.

Your guidance councelor at school should be able to help you with this info. AND the guy that puts a roof over your head too, give him a chance. He'll feel better when he thinks he helped you get the job. Asking is a big step, you'll do alright.

Turn your cell phone off before you go into the meeting. I interviewed an electrical engineer a few weeks ago who took three calls during the interview. For all intents the interview ended at the first call.

Use your best grammar and spelling when completing the application. You're not text messaging a friend or responding to a forum post.

    Best of luck!

    Cheers, Mark

Be willing to work the hours "they" want you to work even it means Friday nights, Saturdays, etc. Have a firm but not "crushing" handshake. Don't slouch and pay attention to your body language. Show enthusiasm and be able to tell why they should hire you, if asked. Follow up with a thank you letter to the interviewer.

    Congratulations!

Now don't tell everyone (or anyone?) you know where you work or you'll get the; "If you were really my friend you'd score me some cheap/free electronic stuff." routine...
    Shine them ALL on!
