Can any Florida Hamb'ers recommend a media blaster??

Hey guys. Well I am about a month away from needing to get my sedan body media blasted to get ready to paint. I live in Ft Myers Florida, and checked all around my immediate area, and nobody does media blasting, only sand.....

And nobody felt they could sand blast sheetmetal body panels without major warpage, which of course I don't want. So does anybody know any media blasters in the Tampa area or thereabouts that they could recommend?

If I have to drive a couple/few hours with the body on my utility trailer to have it done right, so be it.

Dan, I had a friend of mine get his Anglia media blasted some where in Tampa and they did a good job. I'll have to get a hold of him later on and find out the name of the place.

 

Master Blasters, in Orlando specializes in Corvettes, so they take real good care of most everything. Head wrench seems to be an ole' skool rodder type. Forgive the owner and his luv of gl*** bodies. Don't have the number but they are in the phone book. Bring it over and pitch a tent in my backyard, we'll drink some swampwater.

 

You could also send a PM to Hot Rod Walt, he's in your backyard (Northport)and should know who to call.

Some of the guys up this way (Spring Hill- Weeki Wachee) have used K&G Enterprises in Hudson. 727-862-6445 You might want to PM AHotRod and ask him for his opinion of the blasting they did for him. Mike

I used K & G in Hudson, Fl.
He uses Coal-Powder to blast with...... turned out great.
I think it cost me $300 for my sedan 'A' body and doors a year ago.

K & G in Hudson did a great job on a set of headers for me a few months back.
