Type it in like this 67-72chevytrucks.com Great forum for this style of trucks. Im sure plenty of guys here have this style ( I have several myself), but this isnt the forum to discuss em.
Actually it looks like a '69 or '70 with a '71-'72 Front bumper. check out www.67-72chevytrucks.com Great site & Forum for these years.
If the guy you bought it from told you it was a 67 he lied. Like the gent says it looks like a 69 or 70 Lose the side markers, put a 67 hood on and if it was a stepside you could use the rear bumper from a Vega. Drop the front 6" and the rear 4"and lose the drip rail above the doors and front windshield.
It's probably a 71-72,with a 69-70 grill.71-72 had 5 lug wheels.69-70 have 6 lug wheels unless they were changed. It could have a newer front end on a 67-68?But with the five lug wheels and turn signals in the bumper I believe you have a 71-72 with a 69-70 grill. Here's some pics of my 70.I just rebuilt the original 402 and put a muncie 4 speed behind it.It was a 3 speed truck.
I agree with 1oldrat, these are the best trucks around. They are easy to work on, lots of parts available and durable. I owned one and used it to haul firewood for many years, until the bed was too rotten to use, then put the motor, trans and a few other parts in my Model A. The current one is a 67 and we used front end parts from the previous one to put power steering and disc brakes on it. The pictures are from the build of the 67. Drove it for a year in primer then painted and finished it. It's bagged and shaved, roll pans front and rear, cutom interior, etc. Do what you want to it. It does look like a 71-72 to me. The marker lights, square hood top, and the grille all tell me it's not a 67. Red
It is a 71 my bad, my mistake I thought it was a 67 but in fact it is a 71, well thanks for the info... Any more pics of these type trucks done with satin paint, www's, and such ???
