That's correct. This Sunday, October 7th, is the first Sunday of the month. Which means if you live in or near Houston, or are visiting, you are going to the Cruze Night.

Date: Sunday October 7th, 2007, (first Sunday of every month)
    Time: 2:00 p.m.
Duration: as long as it takes
Place: Jimmy's Place Ice House on White Oak Dr. in the Heights.
    Attire: Clean OK, grezzy preferred
    At***ude: Cool, of course

Everyone is welcome. Showing up in a hot rod is encouraged but not mandatory. I'll have my truck there, finally.

    Talking Points:
    1) Does Lone Star taste better since they came out with the old "shield" labels again, or is it just me?
    2) Is the proper term: evilbay, egehy, or egay?
    3) If it is just one car against the clock is it really a drag "race" or just an exhibition of speed?

  2. Let's make it a good one!

  3. I'll be at The Lone Star Nationals in Fort Worth. You guys have fun though.

  4. Ok well its about damn time, I say I am going. Lucky has been inviting me since about november of last year, and Looks like I will finally be in houston on the first sunday of the month and not be doing anything but coming up there to go to jimmys ice house. I have 2 jobs to finish by the weeknd and we will come up. So tentatively we are coming. Are kids allowed at the ice house? I just wasn't sure if it was a beer joint or a family place. Either way is fine with me. I won't be a traditional rod, but maybe a 300+HP subaru XTI :)

Kids are OK. It is a traditional kind of Texas Ice House. Shack that sells beer, surrounded by a good sized parking lot with some benches outside and BBQ pits etc. Glad you will finally make it. Good people. You will have a good time.

  6. Awesome. sounds like a blast to me. I can't wait. looks like some of the in laws might come as well, they live in Katy, and the friend we are going to stay with live about 15 minutes from jimmy's.

  7. You really never have to step inside, you can drink beer out of your own cooler in the parking lot (but beer is super cheap there, although they dont take credit cards, they have an ATM), there are BBQ pits outside, you can even piss in the bushes by the bayou if you want to avoid their restroom, so kids won't be exposed to any "bad element" besides us H.A.M.B.ers.

    Richard...

I honestly can't remember anyone ******* in those bushes but you.

I'll be there for sure. Working my *** off to make sure the roadster makes it as well. New Suburban seat and chopped my steering column down by four inches. Have a lot to finish before it gets put back together though.

    Damn hot rods. Always something...

  9. I gotta go on a wedding rehearsal thingy do for one of our club members. sux

  10. HAHA well pissin in bushes, the side of the road, in a field, on the beach, in someones back yard or beside someones house is not new to my kids. lol When ya gotta go, you gotta go... Looks like its a go so far, hope to see you guys there..

  11. Hell yes, I'll be there, God willing and if Richard's buying the beer!

The Cadillac is running once again, maybe I'll be able to make this one. I don't think I've got anything planned for this weekend...yet.

He is still waiting on a cam and lifters, and me to come over and help. HE can't build it with one hand and he is not going to put that natural light down.

I think this will break the curse and Doc will finally be there...even thought the word on the street is that he is not all "there"

Man! I go to work and come home, check the HAMB, and there are two pages and 20 replies to the October Cruze thread. Looks like it will be a big one.

If you haven't come out for this before...come on out this time. Weather should finally be cool and there promises to be plenty of folks in attendance.
