be vewwy vewwy carefull. Theres a tool made just for that purpose. Check with your local tool suppler or maybe get a local gl*** guy to come by and take it out for you. You can also use a small strong wire like guitar string and find a place to poke it through and get a buddy on one side and you on the other, tie both ends to a wooden dowel and work together to saw through the stuff.

I have done like lobucrod says a few times, usually a wire from a mig/mag welder works... And as already stated, be careful!

That works, take your time, don't force anything, don't let the wire touch the gl***. Denatured alcohol may help soften the seal..........OLDBEET

The wire will work but IMO if you have never done it, I'd pay a windshield guy a few bucks to do it.

The easiest way to do it, is to measure the center of the gl***, and make a mark there with a Sharpie. Then rap it smartly there with a three lb. hammer. Since it is now broken, you don't have to pull it. I hate cutting out windshields.

HF sells the tool to cut the seal for less than $10. Then it only requires one person...

the tool is hard to use with out experience. 2 guys and a wire will work the best .i use one strand from a emergency brake cable.
