I've always had a mental image of The Jalopy Journal as being the "b-side" of a very "a-side" hobby. Plenty of folks can listen to the Beach Boys and remember a simpl...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
B-side... or no side many times is better. This whole HambAndy thing has made me proud to be a Hamber. Thanks guys for rep'g all of us that couldn't make it personally...
It's times like this I feel like "yeah, the world will be just fine......" Well done you all, well done. Nice to have you all to look up to.
I've experienced the love from the HAMBily in my life before. I can even begin to express the love I have for the people on here. I wish I could help more often then I do on here. Great job guys. Wish I could have been there to witness it.
thats what makes this forum so great. I know everyone has they're own stories, but if the stories are known to others, then we can help shore up the ones in need and give service to those who cant help them selves, and if for some reason we are the ones on the short end, there are those around us that are willing to do the kinds of things we cant do for our selves and we all gain on every level and in every good way. If I had known about this, and if there had been a way I could have helped, damn skippy I would have been there, good lord willing and the creek dont rise! hell yeah boys good job!
Very, very well put Ryan. The difference that Hamb's have made to Andy is amazing and one that has changed the way most of us look at mankind. Thanks to all you guys who have been there for Andy..............when you meet him, you will indeed know how special he is............ Then again, there are a few special HAMB's out there Leon
Wow I am speechless waking up this morning and seeing my ugly mug on the Jalopy Journal?? I just wanna give a big thanks to Ryan and the rest of the Hamb for all you have given me!! The knowledge and friendships have been outstanding over the years. Your all hoodlums in my book!! Oh I mean heroes... Thanks again
To me, this is what we are all about. A group of guys and gals who reach out and help the folks in our community. It IS about the cars, but we don't want our friends to not be there to share and swap stories and share their cars. Rallying around each other not only encourages each other, but us as individuals. It lifts us up and keeps our p***ion alive.
... I havent taken my car out to many shows this last season.. well because honestly Im a little embarr***ed about how little it has progressed in the last couple years or so.. But when OLDBEET told me about the cruise, I could miss out.. So I drove my partially bare metal no window having sled out in the rain for Andy, And Im damn glad I did. Right when we pulled up in front of the hospital I knew It was the best choice anyone could have made.. That said, Thanks to everyone for all the kind words, but truth be told it makes me a little uncomfortable.. I even got a little choked up reading Ryan's words.. But we didnt do anything that anyone else would'nt have done.. And If it were me in the hospital, well I'd hope that someone would come cheer me up too. Andy is the Hero, fighting (and winning) like he has been! But I'm glad I was able to be a part of this. Thanks everyone. -J.
