OK I have been building my 27 T Roadster for quite some time now and I was reading Kevin Lee's post about his Lakes Coupe and it got me thinking about how many of us are really building our cars with lakes racing in mind. When I started out building my car I wanted it to be just as it would have back in the 30's,40's,50's.. Just pull onto the lake and get in line. I don't have any current pictures but here's how its going..Lets see what else you guys have....Lucky
My attempt at an early lakes car, hope to eventually have"banger"power.Narrowed 26 touring front, early ford axles/brakes,powerglide,265" chev w/2x2 intake.Mostly all home built,a 20+year project. glider.
My '25 Chev lakes inspired Roadster. I am planning on having a rollbar for Drags, hill climbs and may look at the rules for the vintage cl*** of the DLRA. Car will sit 2"-3" lower when done. Inspired by the Bob Giovanine/Chuck Spurgin Roadster, which was the 1948 SCTA Points Champion.
Mine. No comments about the wheels, Wheelsmith is finishing my wires and I have 8.20x18 Firestone dirts for the back and 5.00x15 Firestone ribs for the front. Rex
