As you can see from the pictures, this show is held on the streets of Newport, just a tiny, tiny Indiana town, so you are parked in the streets in front of homes, it makes the show very different and very anytown USA.

Newport is about 45 miles North of Terre Haute, ...ummm say 40 to 50 miles West of Indy, maybe 15 miles South of I-74... Dave you want to come next year, I will make a place in the Garage for you Scooter or Roadster.

Hey thanks for the pic's, wish I could have been there.

"Back in the day",as they say, my grandpaw lived in the newport area.
That was where all the guys that had "automobiles" would go and see how they pulled the hill. It's neat to see that so many years later, guys are still go'in to the Hill.

Just curious, was there actually a hillclimb going on here? The first car, the white one, looks like it was for racing but what was the event a race or carshow?

It's both, there were about 303 cars actually doing the race, and 800 plus cars there for a show, there is also a huge flea market selling junk.

The 303 cars are divided into cl***es, most of them pretty stock, Model A's and T's... and early 30-40 Dodges, Nash, Fords, Desotos etc....

Thanks for the pics. I want the steering wheel from the Anderson Special or at least one like it. It's freakin' beautiful.

Thanks for posting. I wanted to go, but ended up with other commitments. Will definitely make it to the pileup next weekend though...
