How tall is the hill? Is it a straight road up the hill or is it a windy road? What kind of times were the cars running? Just curious. Looks like a fun event for my speedster.

Hill is straight. Can't remember the lenght, seems to be over 1800 feet. Flatheads turn it in low to mid 20 seconds, model As mid 30s on up. Speedsters vary alot, some are fast, according what has been done.

It's always the first weekend in Oct. Very nice time in a quaint little town (until us gypsies hit :D ). We always camp in our tear drop in "Bubba's trailer park", move a fire pit in, listen to everyone's stories while hearing a car "sneak" up the hill at night....relaxing but as much fun as you want to make it.

It is very organized with cl***es, tech, times, prizes, etc. If GMC Bubba or Mercdeuceman are reading this, they can fill you in on the technical info.

Technically the Hill Climb is the first Sun. of Oct and the preceding weekend. Sometimes it will overlap Sep/Oct if the first Sun is on the 1st or 2nd. There is a website with a lot of the cl*** information on it but oddly it is under construction right now.

Regular comp cars are pre 1943 and totally stock. Time is added for radials, intake mods and other changes from stock.
The T"s F1M cl***s is the only cl*** where mods are allowed. As long as stock block and trans is used. Until a couple years ago the fastest ever to go up the Hill was a very fast modified T. Last year a 40 Ford ( maybe kinda stock) flathead v 8 set a new record it was 22-23 sec ??
There is a discontinued cl*** allowed up to 55 to handle the desotos and henry J's etc...

A must do event. every year alias Bubba:)
