I'm taking out the power windows on my 5 window 34 Ford and going back to original regulators. I'm having a time getting the lower window channel and the regulator properly fit to make the window move back like it's supposed to. I have reproduction lower channels from Mac's. Anyone with experience in putting these channels on the gl***? Are there pics or installation instructions anywhere that you know of?

  2. I think you answered your own question
reproduction anything ****s- but it's all we have
take the channel and leave it loose on the gl*** roll it up slowly and line the pin with the slot in the regulator and mark the channel and the gl***.
On some I've had to cut a couple inches off one end or drill out and move the pin bracket or swap doors to get it to line up. there is left and right.
    do you have original regulators?

Thanks for the reply. I probably have repro regulators but I'm not sure. If they are repro they're older ones. I've got the new set from Mac's too but the older ones seem to fit the channels better where the spring loaded pin sliders go in the channel slots.
When you say line up the pin and the slot in the regulator, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the cam that's on the regulator?

The handles mount in different places for 33 and 34. Ford made changes on the 34 as he ran out of 33 stuff. Early 34s may have 33 hardware.

This is not a difficult procedure but a little wordy to explain on the forum. If you call on Monday the 15th I'll run you thru it 518-861-5367 M-F 9-5. The biggest problem is aligning the gl*** track correctly on the gl***.

A quick install. The gl*** and track is ***embled and sild in from the top at a diagonal, rotated in to position, making sure the gl*** fits in the felt guides. . The regulator is rolled to the pointed up position, inserted in the rectangular lower opening and left loose in the door opening, the rollers are then inserted in the slots and the regulator rolled closed slightly to hold in place. The regulator ***embly is then pushed upward in place to align the crank handle and mounting screws.
