Brian- Definitely the best buildup I have seen, your metalwork is truly amazing. I cant wait to see it at this years roundup. Hell, I will be in Dallas in november, I will pay admission to see that car!! Keep up the awesome work, and thanks for taking the time to take pictures of everything and document it- we dont all get to see how this stuff is done, it is very inspiring.
it really pisses me off how good he is......but im getting a bunch of ideas for my ride. works amazing keep it up!!
i just can't stop looking at this fleetline chop, looks so good.......... im wanting to go in my garage and cut my 49 fleetline roof off tonight, but reality is i just don't have the skills and patience,
I think Bass finished his part, and the owner got it back. He took some time off a couple years back to work on other cars. Look for updates 5, 6, 7 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=235486
About a year ago the fleetline went up for sale right here on the hamb. I think all the bodywork and mods were done but it was still in bare metal. This car has been the inspiration for my 50 sedan.
i have been looking at the photos over and over, when the top was removed was the package tray area attached with the top? im just curious were i need to cut, my head has been spinning the last few days wondering if i can do it with limited skills, it was so bad yesterday i left work at noon, told the boss i was sick. had to get home an stare at my 49 fleetlines roof. so im already out a half days pay! lol!
I believe the guy that Brian built the 32 roadster for that was in Rodders Journal now owns this car. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
If you do some searching, the build thread is pretty through on this one. It's divided into sections. My 50 Chevy is Hamb chopped...ie I took all the best chops on the Hamb and used them as reference. I had pics taped to my doors to follow. Hell, didn't have to think too much for myself which is a good thing. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
