I don't know but I do know I like a man that keeps quit and lets his work speak for him. I wish allot of people I know where like that.
if your smart *** comment was directed at me,,i was just kidding around,,i am one of the biggest defenders against the "barris bashers" on here,,,sam and george BOTH deserve respect here of all places,,,you can search my posts if you think i'm full of **** (7/11/07)...george taught sam to do bodywork,,regardless of what the george bashers think,,it's true........george might do some questionable things today,,but give the man credit,,he was one of the true pioneers of kustomizing
My smart *** comment was directed at the post. I stand behind it. That said your comments in the post about Barris are true. May Sam rest in peace.
Here's a shot of the man alongside his last creation. I "borrowed" the pic from Rikster's site. http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_...ustoms-195/57_chevy_el_capitola/p7030036.html
50 Fraud is right that is not Sam Barris in that photo of the El Capitola. Sam Died in 1967, but I dont know what month or day. Here is a photo from Sam and his wife on the left and George and his wife on the right. Not sure who the couple in the middle is. This photo was taken somewhere in the mid 60's. That is the Munsters Coach in the background. I think the car was built somewhere around 1965. George on the left and Sam in the early days... And a very rare sight of Sam and George in a full suit showing off the just finished Larry Ernst 1951 Chevy.
Rikster, you never cease to amaze me with these 'thought to have been lost photos' of Sam...*****in'. Thanks.
